About UsAndrea's storyThe premature birth of twins to Andrea and John led Andrea to design a unique infant product. After reading material given to her by neonatal nurses, she combined two known facts. One, babies are comforted by the scent of their mothers. Two, infants are only capable of seeing high contrast black and white images at birth. When exposed to high contrast black and white patterns, visual acuity is often aided. With these in mind, Andrea created a small "Care Square" using a black and white cotton fabric purchased to decorate the twin's nursery. She cut this material in to squares and placed the "Care Squares" inside her bra to absorb her scent and would later tape them inside each incubator in plain view of her infants. The nurse attending the twins thought it was a "great idea". Not only did Andrea think that the babies benefited but she felt far less guilty when she had to leave them. In 2002, a Patent Attorney was secured and in 2003 Andrea's Patent was issued by the United States Patent Office. Company profileMom's Love will be the brand name used on the company's products.
